Flux Broadcast is known for two things: world class streaming and the worst dance moves in history.
Luckily, Red Bull can’t have seen our company TikTok as once again they asked us to produce the UK BC1 Cypher live finals from Electric in Brixton. This marquee event of the UK breakdancing calendar would see 16 B-boys and B-girls battle it out in front of a live audience until only two winners remain, each one earning a spot in the World Finals.
Having delivered two Cyphers in the past, we wanted to push the envelope even further for this event in celebration of its return after an 18 month, Covid-enforced break.
We used a five camera F55 solution with racking to deliver a truly cinematic look and feel with full racking control down a single fibre line. This solution offered us a much smaller footprint on the floor and let us streamline the delivery solution to our location-built MCR.
We used Ross Xpression to deliver dynamic graphic updates and a replay system to create live clipping for winners’ moments in between battles.
With the highest viewing figures so far for a UK Cypher, plus a brand new look and feel, Red Bull were ecstatic with the result and buzzing with ideas on how we can use our custom built solution for the next set of events.
That gives us a bit of time to get our head spins up to scratch…
