The Project
Flux and Unit 9 have collaborated on a large variety of incredible live activations over the years but this latest one was set to be a new banger in the partnership.
Working in partnership with Havas, Flux and Unit 9 were asked to create an extra special live event to celebrate the start of the 2023 Rugby World Cup and the launch of an exclusive new Land Rover in colab with Kano.
With only a very small time frame to rig on site and barely enough room to swing a cat let alone a jib it was certainly an interesting challenge that Flux was ready to tackle.
The Goal
With a car reveal, panel discussion, live music performance and content capture for an onsite edit, the solution needed to be locked in and seamless to create a smooth experience.
The trusted Flux PPU was brought in alongside a multi camera Arri footprint creating an eye popping, jaw dropping picture to amplify the live show to new levels.
Fibre runs from the back of house to cameras allowed the crew to be up, ready and rigged quickly whilst also reducing our footprint onsite to help with the premium look and feel.
Backing up our live team was a nimble content crew capturing a number of essential shots and interviews for an immediate turn around to populate JLR’s social accounts during and post event.
The Impact
Working alongside multiple production partners and establishing a detailed pre-production workflow was the key to the shows success with all teams able to work seamlessly and smoothly onsite.
Together we were able to capture an incredible performance whilst producing 12 unique pieces of content for use post event.
