With Covid-19 presenting huge challenges for brands everywhere, the team at OnePlus approached Flux Broadcast to help them deliver the global launch event for the #OnePlus8Series. After collaborating on last year’s successful live OnePlus 7T Europe launch, we were asked to solve one important question: in a world of lockdowns and isolation, how do you create an event powerful enough to showcase a new product range to a massive global audience?
Under normal circumstances, OnePlus would undertake three separate release campaigns for such an event, targeting Europe, India and the Americas. With this clearly not an option, our task was to create one multi language broadcast to reach audiences around the world, simultaneously – with the same high quality execution OnePlus had come to expect from our physical setup. From our London base, we used our remote broadcast MCR to deliver a robust, seamless broadcast, at once delivering the launch event to multiple global social media channels, all while our remote engineering team operated from the safety of their own homes.
As ever, an exceptional technical live broadcast solution was underpinned by a solid foundation of support and expert levels of guidance. Our Production Managers worked alongside the 20+ OnePlus global social media managers, taking the brief from inception to final execution, managing the entire setup, testing and QC of all social accounts and posts involved in the event.
