For over five years, Flux has helped Thinkbox bring their incredibly popular live events from a variety of exclusive London venues to a global digital audience.
Using seasoned professionals to educate and entertain their audience, the Thinkbox events offer a fascinating insight into the world of TV and advertising.
The brief for Flux was simple: ensure that those watching online had the same experience as those attending. Quality, and delivery were top of the list but with a tight turnaround time to edit and upload individual sessions to their online library.
We wanted to ensure that the live event was a perfect match for those that could not get a ticket. We used large sensor broadcast cameras with a range of lenses, allowing us to capture mids and close ups without compromising the view of the in house audience.
Keeping a side camera on hand meant we could bring more emotion to the stories being told by capturing cinematic profile shots of each speaker, as well as pick up questions from the audience during dynamic open discussions.
On top of this, we teased the event across various Thinkbox social media accounts by streaming the first five minutes before pushing a call to action in order to drive people to the main website. This gave Thinkbox a fantastic way to measure metrics data for each event.
The attitude and commitment that Flux brings to every event has helped us to grow our partnership with Thinkbox into one which now spans half a decade. We’re proud to offer them an extra arm of support and knowledge when it comes to live streaming and event capture. Their viewing and membership numbers have grown with each live broadcast, enabling them to target an even larger, more engaged digital audience.
