The Challenge

With BMW launching an all new Electric Mini Cooper in the summer of 2024, the teams at Bambuser and Media Monks approached Flux to help create an interactive car reveal, letting the viewers shape the shape and create their own experience live on air and ultimately convert the viewer into booking a test drive. 

The challenge was to not only create this interactive experience but also ensure audience retention and engagement was locked in to help with data collection and converting test drive bookings.

The Solution


Live interactive content is a specialty at Flux , having delivered similar experiences for Porsche and Netflix.

Working closely with the team at Bambuser, the production team at Flux started to pull together ideas of how a viewer could interact with the stream by looking at the tools built into the platform in a different way.

Through this process a ‘choose your own adventure’ narrative was shaped allowing the audience the opportunity to explore multiple paths during the live stream, creating a unique experience for the viewer.

The team at Flux were also ‘charged’ with designing and building the studio set, ensuring it would work with the shows narrative whilst also allowing for brand recognition.


Utilising portrait LED screens surrounding the car the team were able to bring the current campaigns brandings into the live stream using slogans, imagery and brand colours. Our lighting team carried this even further with moving lighting heads that changed colour to match the various segments and LED content, adding shape and motion to the white studio.

The Impact

Analytics post event showed an 85% retention for the majority of the broadcast with most viewers choosing to watch the entire stream and engage with the content. Thanks to this MINI was able to capture additional customer data and convert that into test drives, with the possibility of purchasing a car later in the year.
