With over a decade of experience in Esports and Event production, Flux was the go to choice for the award winning production agency INVNT to help with their latest event.
Working in partnership Flux was asked to help elevate the latest instalment of the #PlayGalaxy Cup, an annual esports tournament hosted by Sasmung that’s been gaining traction year on year.
For this instalment of the series PUBG Mobile was picked to show the power and performance of their latest phone the S24 compared to a PC. To do this established mobile and PC players as well as popular social influencers were invited to take part in a PC vs Mobile format with one team using a mouse and keyboard on the device.
THE SOLUTION
As a mobile game first, PUBG Mobile didn’t have any mouse or keyboard support, so a work around was created using additional software and key mapping to create a familiar playing environment for the teams. On top of this Flux helped develop the overall technical solution for the show, creating wire diagrams and technical documentation for the onsite engineering team to utilise.
With the technical development underway Flux also played a big hand in the shows creative and broadcast development, working on the events story and flow for people in the room and those watching at home. Everything from lighting and audio, down to cameras and graphics was thought about to help improve the overall experience for the audience.
THE IMPACT
The tournament was an incredible success, with over 1 Million views generated as well as some incredibly possible comments from those watching online and in the room.
Thanks to the hard work of everyone involved the series will continue in to 2025 developing into a bigger tournament with more opportunities for players to join.
