In February 2026, the mobile gaming world descended on San Francisco for the global kickoff of the #PlayGalaxy Cup. Marking the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, the event was a massive shift for the franchise transitioning from a standalone showcase into a year long global esports league in collaboration with PUBG Mobile.
INVNT and Samsung reached out to Flux once again and tasked us with delivering the third instalment in this series, levelling up the broadcast for the Global Open, with gaming heavyweights from 100 Thieves and OfflineTV. Our mission was to capture the raw competitive intensity of professional mobile esports, create exciting clippable moments of the teams coming together to help amplify the tournaments legacy, all whilst highlighting the sheer power and performance of the S26 Ultra in real time.
To do justice to a tournament of this scale, we overhauled our previous production model, focusing on deeper integration between departments. A core innovation was the implementation of a custom API-triggering solution that linked the game’s live data directly to our audio, graphics, and lighting desks. This allowed for a unified, “single-command” experience, when a player was fragged or a squad eliminated, the entire venue reacted instantly with strobing red lights and team-specific colours, while synchronised graphics flashed across both the on-site LED walls and the global broadcast.
Beyond the technical spectacle, we knew that reach and amplification were vital for the launch of the S26 Ultra. Working closely with the show’s creative leads, we assembled a powerhouse talent roster including Ludwig, CouRage, and NiceWigg, personalities renowned for their massive audience engagement. To maximise their impact, we designed scripted “clippable moments” throughout the show, specifically engineered to try and go viral and extend the event’s legacy far beyond the initial livestream.
The #PlayGalaxy Cup Global Open was more than a hardware launch; it was a demonstration of how integrated tech and creative production can elevate a broadcast to record breaking numbers. By focusing on the core experience for fans in the room and online and looking at ways to authentically amplify we helped Samsung achieve a staggering reach and provided a platform where mobile gaming felt every bit as prestigious as its PC counterparts.
With regional qualifiers now rolling out across the globe, the project reinforces Flux’s ability to deliver complex, multi-layered entertainment on behalf of the world’s biggest brands. We didn’t just broadcast a tournament; we helped build the foundation for a year-long global league.
We’ll see you at the Grand Final, chicken dinners all round!
