Awards Shows

TikTok LIVE Fest is a series of events celebrating LIVE on one of the world’s biggest content platforms. When that platform puts on an event to celebrate LIVE content, it’s safe to say the broadcast has to work.

LIVE Fest is not just another show. It’s TikTok celebrating the LIVE creators, performers and communities that use the platform every day, which makes the broadcast especially important.

See how we did it

The Challenge

For the 2025 European and Global Awards in London, Flux worked as part of Seen Presents’ wider production team to support the live broadcast.

The events needed the scale and control of a major awards show, but they still had to feel right for TikTok: fast, creator-led, interactive and built for a platform audience.

Both events took place a week apart: the European Awards at One Marylebone, followed by the flagship Global Awards at The Roundhouse in London.

The shows brought together awards, music performances, creator moments, audience interaction and a live battle format. Each section needed to be clear for viewers at home, while giving the wider production team enough structure to manage talent, content, graphics, camera feeds and delivery.

The format also had to work in both landscape and portrait, which meant effective camera planning was essential.

The Approach

Any project of this scale requires meticulous planning and so our first step was to integrate dedicated crew leads to work directly with the Seen Presents team from their office throughout pre-production. This would help to keep the event, broadcast and client aligned as both shows developed.

A key piece of the puzzle was going to be early creative alignment and it was important for us to engage a director who could handle the scale and discipline of a major awards broadcast, while still understanding that this was not a traditional television broadcast. From there, we supported the creative development. Providing scripts, rundowns and a structure to shape the format into something that could work both in-room and live on screen.

We then turned our focus to the platform specific needs.

Both shows needed to work in portrait and landscape formats. We decided early to distribute the stream in UHD so that the portrait output would retain full HD quality on TikTok LIVE and the content could be used more easily in legacy content.

We then turned our attention to the TikTok LIVE features that would sit inside the show. One of the key components for TikTok was the live creator battles and building a dedicated workflow that allowed the mechanic to be handled as part of a live production, as opposed to feeling like a separate digital feature placed on top of the event. We applied our experience with live streaming, remote productions and the TikTok platform to develop a technical and creative solution that matched the feel of the creator led battles but that worked for a broadcast event of this scale.

The European Awards gave the team the first test of the approach. It took the same approach we had planned for the Global Awards happening a week later,  and applied them to a smaller footprint.

For the Global show, we then scaled up. Working with Seen’s visualisation team, we designed a camera setup that showcased the scale of this flagship event and provided an even bigger wow factor. The most notable uplift was the camera footprint, we included a four-point wire cam, a first of its kind in the venue, alongside an AGITO buggy and RF-operated cameras. This did two things, it created movement and polish to the content but also gave us flexibility and roaming capacity to capture audience reactions and intricate event details to bring the online audience closer to the action.

Across both events, Flux provided the broadcast facilities and crew needed to support the shows and our outside broadcast trucks and video villages gave the production a stable base for managing cameras, graphics, video assets, cues, live outputs and capturing those all important unscripted moments.

The Impact

LIVE Fest 2025 became TikTok’s largest awards show to date, with the European and Global broadcasts reaching millions of live viewers across multiple platforms.

We managed to capture a range of content around the Awards. From Red Carpet Arrivals, Interviews, Music Performances.

For Seen Presents and TikTok, the production gave both shows a live broadcast structure that could handle that content while respecting creator interaction, platform integrations and portrait delivery and the authentic feel of TikTok LIVE.

The result was a pair of live broadcasts that felt right for the platform, while carrying the scale, stability and finish expected from one of TikTok LIVE’s most important events.

We delivered a range of services, including:

  • Broadcast Planning
  • Interactive Live Integration
  • Live Graphics
  • Live Streaming
  • Multi-Camera Production
  • Outside Broadcast Facilities
  • Portrait & Landscape Delivery
  • Rundown & Script Development
