For the second year running, Flux Broadcast teamed up with social media giants Twitter at Cannes Lions Festival 2019.
‘Twitter Beach’ is an exclusive, yearly event at Cannes Lions housed in a beautiful, custom-built beachfront terrace. In this incredible location, Flux filmed a series of talks, interviews and seminars designed to showcase Twitter’s ideas and key messages, bringing them live to a huge global audience.
We wanted an innovative, content rich experience which would engage the marketers, agency execs and creatives in the Cannes Lions community, as well as showcase Twitter’s visual storytelling on a global scale, via a live social stream.
The festival is all about creative people, so we used a combination of fixed and hand held cameras to put the individual contributors right at the fore. We also cut together snippets from interviews and discussions to create some short form content for use throughout the year. It’s all part of the Flux package!
In an amazing and demanding week on the beach, Flux managed the broadcast of daily live streams, over 50 interviews, video edits and photography. Highlights included #askChrissy, a live question and answer session with Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, hosted by Twitter CMO Leslie Berland.
