The Challenge
London Stock Exchange Group had been running this multi-region format for several years, but the scale of the event meant the production needed a more controlled and repeatable model.
Each territory brings its own venue, suppliers, crew, infrastructure and local requirements. But the event needed to feel consistent for senior leaders, offices and remote team members across the business.
With a mix of senior leadership keynotes, presentations, panel discussions, an awards ceremony, breakouts, remote presentations and an office watch party there was a lot to the event.
The content was also sensitive, so we felt it was important that the streaming workflow was built around LSEG’s existing systems rather than forcing the event onto a separate platform.
The challenge was to bring proper production control to a format inside LSEG’s existing enterprise environment, across multiple international regions.
The Approach
In the first year, the priority was to give LSEG a technical foundation they could trust. With senior leadership, sensitive internal content, multiple regions and remote audiences involved, the technology needed to support the event without becoming the focus. LSEG’s team had to be able to concentrate on the content, the message and how the business was being represented.
We worked closely with their team to understand the format, internal workflows and the requirements in each territory, then built the production around them.
With the event taking place across regions, alignment was critical. Venues, suppliers, crew, remote offices and internal stakeholders all needed to know what was happening before arriving on site. Flux planned each region in detail, covering floor plans, kit requirements, schedules, crew roles, supplier responsibilities and venue-specific requirements.
Microsoft Teams was central to the content. Remote offices needed to be more than passive viewers, this was an event designed to bring people together and regional teams needed to be seen, heard and celebrated, while still being able to follow the content clearly.
We decided to take a broadcast production approach to the delivery. Flux worked with LSEG and Microsoft to build a Teams workflow that could support a live production – with careful attention to picture and sound quality across multiple calls, regions and endpoints. Even though local IT teams, room setups and equipment varied by territory, we wanted a solution that gave broadcast control and a quality viewing experience.
As confidence in the teams component grew, the technology became less of a barrier and more of a way to bring different locations into the event properly and remote office interaction became a more regular part of the content.
On the front end, we supplied staging, LED, Lighting, Audio and Broadcast Production in a Plenary room and multiple breakout rooms. Over time, we continued to refine the solution, looking at where delivery could be made more consistent, where regional setups were creating duplication and where costs could be reduced without weakening the event.
That gave LSEG better control across territories, more reliable delivery and a repeatable approach that helped senior leaders feel confident they would be represented clearly, wherever they were contributing from.
The Impact
Across the programme, Flux helped LSEG turn a complex multi-region conference into a more controlled, consistent and repeatable production model.
The event was delivered across nine productions in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, New York and London, connecting senior leaders, live rooms, remote offices and online audiences globally through LSEG’s Microsoft Teams environment.
Offices were able to contribute more actively, rather than simply watching from a distance and the model also became more efficient over time. After looking at the production as a whole, Flux helped reduce duplication, improve consistency and bring down technical production costs without weakening the event.
For LSEG, the value was not just that each event was delivered. It was that the format became easier to plan, easier to repeat and more reliable for the senior stakeholders, internal teams and remote audiences taking part.
