The Brief

In early 2026, Flux returned to San Francisco to help with the global launch of the Samsung S26 series at Galaxy Unpacked. Set against the iconic backdrop of the Palace of Fine Arts, our challenge was to produce a tight, 60-minute live broadcast that felt equally engaging for both the digital and physical audiences.

Stepping into the role of Live Stream Director, we worked closely with the show’s creative directors, leveraging our deep knowledge of audience behaviour and real-time engagement to push the production further, we set our selves the additional task to surpass the previous year’s analytics and deliver one of the most successful and seamless Unpacked events to date.

Oh and did we mention the entire live presentation had to be filmed on the new S26 Ultra…

The Solution

Acting as the creative bridge between the physical stage and the digital viewer, Flux stepped into the role of the Live Stream Director to provide deep insights into audience psychology. We advised on how specific filming angles and shot compositions could trigger higher engagement, ensuring the show never felt static. By curating a dynamic visual flow we helped transform a traditional keynote into a cinematic experience that kept viewers leaning in for the full 60 minutes.

Drawing on our extensive background in social media, IRL streaming, and mobile content capture, we were uniquely positioned to advise on integrating the S26 series directly into the broadcast. We provided critical guidance on the potential pitfalls of using mobile devices as live cameras addressing issues with thermal throttling, moiréing, and signal delay that could compromise the show’s premium aesthetic.

By working closely with the show’s creative directors, we were able to leverage the phones capabilities while maintaining a premium cinematic look, proving that mobile hardware can deliver world class results.

The Results

The 2026 Unpacked shattered our previous benchmarks, reaching a peak of 559,761 concurrent viewers a significant jump over 2025’s analytics.

Our insights into shot compositions, mobile tech and audience psychology resulted in record breaking retention levels, with the reveal of the Flex Magic Pixel screen becoming one of the most clipped and shared moments in Galaxy history.

By delivering a broadcast that felt as intuitive as the S26 itself, Flux proved that creative directing informed by real-time audience behavior is the key to turning a localised product launch into a global digital event.
